I've been fufilling my desires for renaissance wonderland vicariously through you wonderful people. Though I may be in the shadows I've been reading aplenty of blogs and looking at pictures whenever I get a free chance. Just a little thank you all for all that you've been posting and the best wishes with everything y'all do.

    Something Very Important Occured Tonight

Sunday, June 1, 2008, 05:30 AM CST [General]

I was talking to my friend that has been AWOL for months now, and he asked me suddenly whether or not he counted to me. He wrote, "you are one of the kindest, caring.. most lovable women i've ever met.. Hell, you ARE the only one I can talk to and feel like a real person not just an appendage." Obviously, I love this friend very very much and if he wasn't married he would be mine, pretty much without a doubt. I assured him that he did and he then said this...

"Damn you for working your way so far into my heart.. Last time I tried all I could think about was you. Which is a bad thing when driving at 140mph at 2am in the rain. But I couldn't flick the breaks and let the car go."

I started crying and something very important occured to me, through my own troubles and tribulations, unknowingly, I have helped someone else stay alive simply by loving them and doing everything I can not to question why they do things or who they are but trying to simply love them. I never realized that someone would need it so much...

I share this with you now to let you know to love blindly, with passion and good nature. You never know who will need you.

I would also strongly recommend the book "Ghengis Khan, the making of the modern world", a fascinating read that also reads very much more as a story than a history book, and will really change your perception of the history of Europe and Asia.
Also "the children of Henry the 8th", a lot of it is first hand accounts of the childhood of Elizabeth, Mary, their brother, and Lady Jane Grey. This also reads very story-like, with a fascinating insite into these future monarchs.
